Suri Bala has more than 10 years of
expertise in the field of static and dynamic simulations of structures using
LS-DYNA, a general pupose non-linear software
developed by LivermoreSoftware. He
is a full-time employee with Livermore Software for the past 7 years and is
supporting a major OEM in Detroit, Michigan. He is fluent
in both the implicit and explicit solution schemes to predict structural
responses in quasi-static and high strain-rate simulations. He has employed
these methods in simulating large-scale production models. He has been
involved with several large OEMs and its suppliers worldwide to develop and
train several methodologies and operating procedures involving LS-DYNA. He has
worked with pure Lagrangian , ALE (Arbitrary
Lagrangian Eulerian) and SPH (Smooth Particle Hydrodynamics) techniques in
simulating large deformation problems using LS-DYNA. He also specializes in
characterizing materials such as metals, plastics, foams, rubber and
honeycomb for necessary constitutive models in LS-DYNA to include
quasi-static and high-strain rate testing information. He has published
several papers involving various topics in LS-DYNA though FEAINFORMATION. He
travels worldwide to provide training and consulting services though
