Name：Morten Rikard Jensen, Ph.D.
Dr. Morten Rikard Jensen graduated from Aalborg University, Denmark in 1995 with a master degree in Manufacturing Engineering and he obtained his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at the same University in 1999. In 1997 he was a research assistant at Department of Solid Mechanics, Linkoping University, Sweden.
His main area has been experimental work on sheet metal forming, especially determination of tool wear and investigation of the hydromechanical deep drawing process. Besides experimental work Dr. Jensen has worked extensively with the Finite Element code LS-DYNA since 1994.
Dr. Jensen has published 10 papers in international journals, more than 15 papers in international conferences and about 25 additional papers.
Dr. Jensen has since 2001 worked at Livermore Software Technology Corporation as a support and project engineer, supervising customers in the use of the Finite Element code LS-DYNA, the pre/post processor LS-PREPOST and the optimization code LS-OPT. Dr. Jensen’s work covers all main areas of the LS-DYNA code, e.g. crash simulation, metal forming, bullet penetration, explosion etc. Dr. Jensen also teaches LS-DYNA Introduction classes, LS-DYNA Implicit and gives customized training classes.
